Oba Cave - Once More

We decide to hike to Oba Cave again before the new trail becomes overgrown with grass and vines. Since several hikers have missed the hike the first time, we feel that another trip on the trail to the cave will complete our mission this year. On Sunday, ten hikers gather at yellow bus stop #139 for the walk to the trail head: RedEye, Cutie, Ewok, Wonder Woman (Yay!), CB, Scout, Nemo (new name SoccerFish), Rexplorer, Waldo, CC.

SoccerFish charges up the hill, anxious to get going.

A new hiker! But wait, not so new after all. Panther is son of Boy. A nice and strong hiker, just like his dad. We welcome him to our hiking group.

Onto the trail that is already being invaded by vines creeping and crawling across the clearing.

Just as aggressive is the tall grass growing fast and furious across the path.

The crowd is waiting to get down a steep drop while Ewok is down there trying to remove a branch that may get in the way.

Pretty passion fruit flowers.

Going through this beautiful jungle full of ferns, fruit trees, and large trees.

The wedding veil mushroom, unfortunately having been knocked off its base.

Waldo coming down from his exploration into the jungle.

Time for a rest and sharing of good snacks.

With Oba Cave for a backdrop, this snack-full and happy bunch ready for a group photo: Scout, Cutie, Waldo, Ewok, Wonder Woman, RedEye, CB, CC, Rexplorer, and Panther. Missing: SoccerFish

Panther...

A rather reflective group, content and enjoying a moment of peace and quiet.

Ewok and Rexplorer make a quick tour of the cave.

The rest of the group stays outside.

RedEye and Cutie make a quick getaway, ahead of the group.

Rexplorer poses in the jungle.

Ewok performs his unique way of overcoming this obstacle. We continue and finish the hike at the yellow bus stop. All agree that it is still a great and fun hike.

Where are they now?
This is a new feature for the blog, thanks to the suggestion by an ex-hiker (un-named to protect the innocent!!)
